Brilio.net/en - The famous musician has been found dead on Thursday 21st in the elevator of his building. Singer and multi-talented musician, Prince was considered a genius of pop music and renowned for his extravagant songs, shows, look and attitude in general.

The exact reason of his death remains unknown, however he seemed to be in a pretty bad shape as of late. On April 14th, he performed in Atlanta for the official last concert of his career. He sang in memory of David Bowie, who recently passed. After the show, the singer was urgently transferred to the closest hospital to be examined. A bad flu according to his close family, but lately the singers general health seemed preoccupying as he was rapidly losing weight.

Born in Minneapolis in 1958, Prince belongs to a pure family of musician. His father was a composer and a pianist and his mother a jazz singer. His talent was apparent from an early age on, he composed his first song at the age of 7. He was part of his high schools band and got noticed already back then in the clubs of his hometown where he was performing. Among his various musical inspirations are James Brown, Jimi Hendrix, Miles Davis, Carlos Santana and George Clinton, which give him the image of being the perfect heir of the black and white mixture in music, very rare back then and not always approved by society.

At 18, he signed his first contract with Warner Music, which gave him the creative liberty he desperately needed, even if he cut his contract in 1990 with great fanfare. Cleverly combining funk, rock and dance music, Prince was performing a provocative character, sometimes using dirty words and always imposing his unique voice and virtuoso guitar playing skills.

In 1984, the album Purple Rain, the soundtrack of the movie of the same name, made him worldwide famous and built his reputation. Among the most famous songs: When Doves Cry and the title track Purple rain became global hits and Prince became the king of the eighties and the legend started.

Prince remained an amazing performer for his entire life, even until the last show. He will always be remembered as a man devoted to music.
