Brilio.net/en - Indonesia this week set a record worthy of a Guinness Book Of World Record entry by planting 238,000 trees within just an hour in the Tasikharjo Village of Jenu in Tuban, East Java, Monday.

"Congratulations, you successfully broke the record," said Guinness Book of World Records Dangarikar Swapnil Mahesh when reading aloud the result.

The event itself started with President Joko Widodo and First Lady Iriana Joko Widodo, who both planted the first tree.

"Let's work together to plant trees within this hour," Jokowi said as he pushed a button for a sirene that marked the start of the program.

The movement involved 5,500 people and members of Anugrah Bumi Hijau Producers Cooperative and surpassed a previous record by the Philippines, which planted 223,000 trees in an hour.
