In a TikTok account upload @zerryhalim, a young man was caught red-handed while trying to steal a cellphone, and the moment was successfully recorded and went viral.
In the video, the bald-haired young man is seen sitting on a chair surrounded by many people. The situation seems tense, the victim and several witnesses ask for an explanation for his theft.
Not only was he asked to admit his actions, the young man was also encouraged to apologize directly to the victim as a form of accountability.
However, what happened was beyond expectations. Instead of showing guilt or remorse, the young man acted arrogantly. In an arrogant tone, he made impolite statements, as if he wanted to justify his actions. His attitude, which was far from empathy, further provoked the anger of the people at the scene.

The young man's statement clearly caused anger from the people at the scene. Unable to hold back his emotions, one of them reflexively gave the young man a "harsh reprimand" as a form of a lesson for his inappropriate behavior.

The video also provoked various reactions from netizens who watched it. Many were furious with the young man's behavior, while others highlighted the importance of maintaining one's attitude when caught red-handed by mocking him using the sentence he had uttered.

For information, the young man was only asked to apologize and was not processed to the authorities. This is known from one of the comments from the account's video upload.
"He stole his cellphone, then he was caught, he was still good, he wasn't beaten, but he was just given hesitation so he would confess and apologize in front of a lot of people while being recorded. But instead he started to give words that he didn't slap at first, so he got hit by me who was watching, annoyed and giggling," wrote the account @fitrii.
The video managed to get 173.6 thousand views, with 3315 likes, and 256 comments.
