Brilio.net - The highest caste football competition in Indonesia, BRI Liga 1 season 2024-2025 which has been running since August 9, 2024 has raised hopes for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) throughout Indonesia. MSMEs are taking advantage of this moment to take the opportunity to increase turnover, especially when selling on match days.
Aceng (42), one of the fried food sellers around the Si Jalak Harupat Stadium, said that with the BRI Liga 1 competition, his goods were selling better.
"This event helps the economy, with the match my merchandise sales are quite good, increasing two-fold. If there is no BRI Liga 1 match, it is usually quiet every day," he said as quoted by brilio.net from a press release statement, Tuesday (3/9).
In line with Aceng, a woman selling food in the area outside the Si Jalak Harupat Stadium named Siti (38) also expressed her positive response. She also hopes that BRI Liga 1 will continue into the next seasons.
"With the BRI Liga 1, my sales are booming. Hopefully many people will buy my merchandise. In addition, hopefully in the future there will continue to be other football matches," said Siti.

On a separate occasion, BRI Deputy President Director Catur also revealed that in addition to increasing the exposure of BRI services and products, another factor in the company's support for the 2024-2025 BRI Liga 1 event is inseparable from the economic factors created.
"With the rolling of the BRI Liga 1 competition, it is projected to create a money turnover of Rp10.42 trillion and an economic added value (GDP) of Rp5.93 trillion. This is based on the results of the latest research conducted by the BRI Research Institute which was released in July 2024," he said.
In addition, there is an additional income of Rp2.27 trillion for workers' households, potential indirect tax revenue for the government of Rp866 billion and the creation of job opportunities for around 45 thousand people.
"Based on the research results, we project that the 2024-2025 BRI Liga 1 competition will also have a positive economic impact on its main stakeholders to revive the people's economic chain and increase the income of MSMEs," explained Catur.
