Unexpectedly, the Daihatsu Calya driver actually stepped on the gas and ignored the police who were hanging on the hood of his car. In the video, the traffic officer's legs can be seen hanging off the left side of the hood as the car speeds away.
"The police officer was carried away and stuck to the hood of the car for 500 meters until he was able to get off after the car slowed down and stopped then stepped on the gas again," wrote the description of the video uploaded by the @terangmedia account.

Meanwhile, the driver of another car who was seen chasing the red car tried to help the police. When the car turned left, the red car slowed down so that the police could get out. The car driver who was chasing the Daihasu Calya gave the police a lift.
"Come on, sir, get in (the car) sir," he said.
After the police got off, the car with the number plate K 1048 C ran away again before finally being stopped on Jalan Ringkar Jetak Kudus. This incident was confirmed by the Deputy Chief of Kudus Police, Commissioner Satya Adi Nugraha.
He said the incident occurred while the police were still controlling traffic and suspected the red car was using fake plates. The eyewitness, Supriyanto, said that he, who was working at the time, was shocked when a red car stopped nearby. Two men emerged from the red car with plate number K 1048C.
"They say it was banana theft, but it's not clear whether it's true or not," said Supri, quoted by brilio.net from dream.co.id, Monday (5/8).
According to him, there was a chase from the east between a private car driven by police and a red car. The police's private car had already crushed the red car. But the driver of the red car managed to escape and another chase ensued until it finally stopped not far from where Supri worked.
