Brilio.net/en - Seems like geographical and environmental factors influence how we behave and every culture has its own stereotypes.
Indonesian are no exception. Some may or may not reflect the reality, but its interesting to know what people think!
1. Indonesians are very creative.
A love of arts and nature runs through Indonesians veins. Thebcountry's diverse culture has been preserved and can be seen today as it was hundreds and thousands of years ago in traditional dances, textiles like batik and tenun, intricate carvings and more.
2. Indonesians are highly tolerant.
Despite what some politicians would have you believe, Indonesians welcome diversity. The country boasts over 300 ethnic groups, which makes it a melting pot. There are also six official state religions. Given the amount of diversity there is, conflicts are pretty rare.
3. Indonesians are friendly people.
Like, crazy friendly. Indonesians are known for their huge smiles and the effort they put into hiding the dark side of their personalities. They are very easy to make friends with.
The downside is, Indonesians tend to hide their feelings and are reluctant to speak their mind. They love peace and do whatever they can to avoid conflict, so they often act cool, as if things are okay when they are really not.
