Brilio.net/en - Howard Lees amazing talent allows him to create some extremely realistic drawings, mostly of food. The objects are so real that they seem to be photographs.
Lee posts videos of his epic drawings on Instagram to show how real items differ from his work of art. We can barely see the differences, but Lee helped us using some tools like a knife to reveal.
You start with a few sketchy lines and then everything after that is a spot the difference, said Lee, as reported by Mashable. You compare the differences and correct them. For hyper-realistic art you just don't stop that process until you've created an illusion of sorts. With my own work, it's important that reality and drawing look the same from the perspective of a camera so there's quite a process of checking/comparing for me there.
Lees passion is painting anything that confuses the eye. He best known for his insanely-real hot dog drawing, and hes said he cant really turn away from food.
I don't know why perhaps they are just everyday and plain so I guess that contributes to the illusion. You don't expect anything odd to happen with such common objects, he said.
After the hot dog video went viral, Lee has experienced some huge changes in his life.
In the space of about a week, I went from getting some attention online to being contacted round the clock by TV companies, online newspapers and magazines, he said. People have been approaching me with ideas to get their products into my videos. I'm very busy now producing commissioned video work. It's pretty intense.
He said his Instagram followers should keep an eye out in the coming months as he has some big new ideas to try out. Well, he has proved himself good with surprises.
Here are some of Lee's best works, complete with startling reveals.
