Brilio.net/en - A creative app-based self driving taxi called Snuber has been introduced by an ambitious group of researchers at the Seoul National University in South Korea. Based on recent experiences, disabled students from the campus who have been using the app have reached their specified campus destinations safe and sound.

You may raise questions about the safety of these vehicles. Well, these taxis have been designed to ensure that no accidents will take place as they maneuver around. Cameras on its roof examine road situations, while sensors and laser technology have been implemented to keep it at a safe distance from other vehicles on the road. During the course of the ride, the passenger must be seated on the drivers seat just in case any sort of breakdown takes place. Furthermore, a maximum speed regulation of 30KM/H has been imposed for each self driving taxi.

There are several other countries in the world which are adopting this cool technology too. In Japan, a company called Robot Taxi Inc. is getting the groundwork up and running. Since the nation will be hosting the 2020 Olympics, launching Snuber by then would be a remarkable achievement indeed. Itd be nice to travel everywhere without having to actually do the driving, wouldnt it?
