Isa Bajaj suddenly became a topic of conversation after his photo selling eels at the market went viral on social media. Many netizens misunderstood and called him bankrupt because he left the entertainment world.
However, Isa firmly denied the news. He explained that his activities in the market were actually just part of his food stall business in Magetan, East Java, which serves Banyuwangi's signature sambal tempong.
"I took it from the market, bought it in bulk, while waiting, I ordered shrimp, wader. Suddenly someone came, 'Sir, do you have more eels?' Well, I gave it to him, I sold it," said Isa.
Isa admitted that he prefers to live a simple life in his hometown rather than returning to the entertainment world. According to him, his new life as a culinary entrepreneur gives him peace that he could not find before.
Isa also emphasized that his decision to settle in Magetan was a choice he enjoyed wholeheartedly. He even felt that he no longer missed the entertainment world that once made his name great.
"I don't (miss the entertainment world) at all," said Isa.
