Zaskia Adya Mecca chose a unique way to celebrate her birthday by visiting a refugee camp in Syria with her beloved husband, Hanung Bramantyo. The two flew to the conflict-ridden country on Wednesday (11/5) to provide winter aid to refugees in need.

Usually, every time Zaskia's birthday approaches, Hanung always asks about the gift his wife wants through sponsorship. But this year is different because Zaskia prefers something that cannot be bought with money, namely permission and blessing from her husband to help others.

" Usually when it's my birthday I leave sponsor messages left and right which will definitely make @hanungbramantyo ask 'eh, what gift does he want?', but this year I'm smarter. Instead of asking for things that I can buy myself, it's better to ask for permission & blessings that I can't buy anywhere ," wrote Zaskia via her Instagram.

In the moment shared by Hanung and Zaskia, netizens felt touched. Moreover, the condition of the refugees, especially the children who were victims of the Syrian war, seemed happy to receive help from them.

" Confused and confused, thank you, please give a hug to all of them there, stay healthy, good people ," said @alin_nofenti.

" Oh my God, it's so sad to see them, they're all lacking food while every time I want to eat lunch, I'm always selective about what I eat. It's a big lesson for me, thank you Abi and Bia, it suddenly made me realize it ," said @yuyunirianti.

" May you always be under the protection of Allah SWT ," said @kartika_septia.

" Masyaallah how happy the kids are ," said @ochie_salon.
