Brilio.net/en - National Police Chief Gen. Tito Karnavian says that so far, there have been no significant issues during the runoff poll for Jakarta Governor.

Tito made the comments at a press conference on election security at the National Police Headquarters in Kebayoran Baru, South Jakarta.

Early quick counts indicate a big win for Anies Baswedan and Sandiaga Uno. We will update on quick counts as the day progresses.

Tito said police monitored security in some high-risk areas in Jakarta. He said there were some minor issues, but they were anticipated and handled. The police general again urged people from outside Jakarta not to flock into the capital, causing potential unrest.

This follows an earlier edict from police chiefs in Java and Sumatra against demonstrators from outside Jakarta coming into the city, especially those with political motivations. Incumbent Governor Basuki Tjahaja Purnama is originally from Sumatra and that's where his political career started.

He also appealed to the public to cooperate with maintaining peace and tranquility in Jakarta.

"The election is over. Let's reunite," said Tito.
