Brilio.net/en - Josh Brolin has been announced to join the cast of 'Deadpool 2' as time-travelling mutant Nathan Summers a.k.a Cable.
Brolin's name came out of the blue amid the Cable casting speculation that's been ongoing for ages. The Oscar-nominated actor is committed to Fox for a four-movie deal, including 'Deadpool 2' and 'X-Force' as well as sacking Michael Shannon who's been a frontrunner for the role.
The news was met with surprise from fans knowing that Brolin already played Thanos from Marvel's Cinematic Universe and will reprise the role in the forthcoming 'Avengers: Infinity War'. Everyone knows that the rules won't apply since Deadpool (and the other X-Men movies) belongs to 20th Century Fox while Avengers is with Disney.
Brolin will join Ryan Reynolds and Zazie Beetz who's playing as Domino in the sequel directed by David Leitch (John Wick). Deadpool 2 is set to premiere next year.
