Former House speaker Marzuki Alie has undergone a questioning from Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) regarding the electronic ID card (e-KTP) procurement graft case on Wednesday.

Marzuki was questioned as a witness for the current Speaker of the House of Representatives (DPR) who has been named suspect of the case, Setya Novanto.

Marzuki said the questions given by the investigators to him were similar to those he got when he was summoned for businessman Andi Narogong, the first suspect of the case.

"I was questioned for Setya Novanto. The questions were the same [as the ones given during the questioning for] Andi Narogong. It's copy and paste, so it [only took] less than half an hour," said Marzuki at the KPK building, Kuningan, Jakarta.

During the questioning, Marzuki denied the prosecutors' accusation during the hearing that mentioned him to receive some money related to the e-KTP project.

"I think it's just not right to mention someone's name without clarification and basis. Moreover, it was said that the one who gave me the fund is Mulyadi from Commission V. Why wouldhe give the money to me?" said Marzuki.

Regarding the money distribution on the parliament, Marzuki assumed it was impossible to be done publicly.

"If some people commit a corruption in the House, they communicate in rooms that we don't know. There are 560 members in the House and those who committed the crime are only few people. So, why discussing money distribution there? Where is our common sense?" denied Marzuki.

When asked the meeting held in Fatmawati shophouse and Gran Melia, Marzuki also denied his involvement, "I don't know. I don't know such places," he said.
