Jakarta Governor Djarot Saiful Hidayat said he will focus on finishing several development programs after President Joko Widodo inaugurated him on Thursday.

The programs he needs to finish include Akasia Child-Friendly Integrated Public Space (RPTRA), government grocery agency JakGrosir in Kramat Jati, East Java and the development of low-cost apartments.

“The apartments are targeted (to finish) in December, we’ll keep on trying to meet [the target],” Djarot said in Jakarta City Hall, Friday.

Djarot also mentioned that most of the remaining programs are targeted to finish at least at the end of this year.

“We hope to finish 100 RPTRAs this year. Then, the effort to stabilizes the price of food in the Capital City through the development of JakGrosir also targeted to finish this year," he added.

Djarot previously worked as Jakarta Deputy Governor. After the former Governor Basuki Tjahaja Purnama resigned from his position, Djarot has been appointed to replace him and he will serve until the newly elected Governor Anies Baswedan starts working in October.
