Brilio.net - BB Merah Putih as the license holder for manufacturing, marketing, and selling BlackBerry-branded smartphones in Indonesia officially announced the android-based Blackberry Aurora.

"The product is not only the first BlackBerry device to ever be produced in Indonesia but also first BlackBerry device in the world to be equipped with dual-SIM both for 4G LTE functionality," said BB Merah Putih Vice President Stanly Widjaja during the release in Jakarta, Thursday.

Blackberry Aurora is released exlusively for Indonesian market as the country is known as one of BlackBerry's biggest market, having a large amount of BlackBerry smartphones and BBM users.

The Blackberry Aurora comes with Android 7.0 Nougat which allows users to access Google Play Store, Hub productivity suite also BlackBerry DTEK privacy app.

Hardware specs inlude Snapdragon 425 chipset, 5.5-inch 720p touchscreen, 4GB RAM, 32GB internal memory, 13 MP rear and an 8 MP front camera and is powered with 3,000mAh battery.

The BlackBerry Aurora is available for pre-order for $260 or Rp 3,499,000 and is going to be distributed in Indonesia or won't be available to the global market in recent times.
