Brilio.net - Currently there are many electronic devices that can make household work easier, one of which is the iron. This tool is equipped with an iron plate at the bottom. This part functions as a heat source so that it can make wrinkled clothes neat again.
The hot temperature of the iron can also be adjusted according to your needs and type of clothing material, you know. However, with use , the function of the iron will eventually decrease. Irons that have been used for years will usually be covered in burnt spots on the bottom.
If not cleaned immediately, the stain can eventually become a stubborn crust. As a result, the iron cannot function optimally and clothes will be more difficult to tidy. To overcome this, some people choose to clean it with wax.
But if you don't have a stock of candles at home, there's no need to worry because there are other ways to clean them. This method was shared by YouTube user Mamah Chela Family Creations . In his upload, he admitted that he did not use wax and cleaned it with other cleaning agents.

First, prepare about 3 tablespoons of salt, toothpaste, and aluminum foil. After that, apply enough toothpaste to the bottom of the iron which is covered in burnt spots. Spread it evenly and make sure the iron is turned off.

After you have finished smearing it with toothpaste, then turn on the iron. Don't forget to set the iron dial from minimum to maximum. Once the iron is on, place aluminum foil on the ironing mat and sprinkle salt on top. If the temperature of the iron is hot, rub the iron directly over the salt.
"From here it looks quite clean, yes. Then I repeated the steps from the beginning again 2 times until it was really clean," he explained.

In the second try, you could see the burnt stains from the iron starting to fade. Once it feels clean, turn off the iron and wait for it to cool. Then clean the bottom of the iron with a clean cloth.
"You can see the results, Mom, it's cleaner than before. At first it was really dirty, now it's clean, thank God," he concluded.
