Brilio.net - If you like using kitchen towels to clean various utensils, you must be familiar with the problem of smelly and shabby towels. Musty and shabby kitchen towels are a common problem that interferes with the cleanliness and comfort of the kitchen . Although it seems trivial, unclean napkins can become a nest for bacteria and cause unpleasant odors. This condition can certainly ruin the atmosphere of the kitchen and even potentially cause health problems.
One of the main causes of kitchen towels smelling musty is moisture trapped in the fibers of the cloth. Dishes that are not dried properly after use tend to accumulate moisture, which then becomes an ideal place for bacteria and mold to grow. Additionally, napkins that are used repeatedly without being washed will also collect food residue and oils, which further worsens the musty smell.
To prevent this, make sure the napkins are always dried perfectly after use and washed regularly. How to wash napkins also plays an important role in maintaining their cleanliness. To be more effective, you can use the method practiced by Instagram user @rumah.awjourney. Through one of the videos uploaded, she revealed a simple way to wash smelly and shabby napkins so that they are clean again even without brushing.
As reported by BrilioFood from Instagram @rumah.awjourney on Tuesday (12/11), there are several kitchen ingredients used to wash napkins, such as dish soap, citric acid, vinegar, and baking soda. A number of these ingredients will be used in different ways so that the napkins are maximally clean.

The first step, prepare a bucket and put the dirty napkins in it. Then add vinegar, dish soap, and citric acid to taste. If so, pour hot water until all parts of the napkin are completely submerged. Then soak for 2 hours so that the dirt is completely removed.

Next, immediately drain the napkin and rinse once with clean water. To make it more fragrant and hygienic, soak the napkin in water that has been given fabric softener and disinfectant. Then wring it out and dry it in the sun. That way, the kitchen napkin will be shinier and more fragrant.
