Recently, the internet was abuzz with Yati Pesek's voice recording expressing her heartache after being insulted by Miftah Maulana during a shadow puppet show. The senior comedian felt humiliated in public and questioned what was wrong with her.
Public reactions were varied, and one of the most vocal was Wendy Cagur. She admitted that she was very upset to hear the insults. In a video uploaded by Erick Estrada on Instagram, Wendy expressed her empathy for Yati Pesek, hoping that she would always be healthy and given fortitude.
Erick Estrada himself could not hold back his tears when listening to Yati Pesek's voice recording expressing her heartache. He felt very connected to Yati's feelings, who were belittled by a figure known as Gus Miftah.
"God willing, Bude Yati will get double rewards for her patience. Although I know for sure she is very disappointed. My respects to Bude!" he said.
In the video, Erick Estrada also explains how close he is to Yati Pesek, whom he considers a mother figure to many young comedians in Indonesia.
"Yati Pesek is a figure I really respect. She is like my own mother," said Erick.
He also expressed how angry he was when he heard the insults hurled at him by Miftah Maulana, who even called Yati with harsh words.
Erick Estrada emphasized that he always called Yati Pesek Mami or Mbak as a form of respect. " I can't imagine how Yati felt at that time. My heart was burning hearing the insult, " he said.
Hearing this recording, Wendy Cagur also couldn't hold back her heart. " I feel you, mas. I also feel sad seeing Bude Yati Pesek being treated like that. Hopefully Bude will always be healthy and given a broad heart ," wrote Wendy Cagur in the comments column.

Unable to meet Yati Pesek in person, Wendy Cagur sent her respects while believing that Yati Pesek would receive a double reward for being patient in being humiliated in public.
