In a video that went viral on social media X, Miftah was seen attending a wayang kulit performance led by puppeteer Ki Warseno. This moment happened two years ago, where Yati Pesek was also present as a performer.
At that time, Yati Pesek sang a song titled Bajing Loncat. However, Gus Miftah's joke that came after was considered demeaning and inappropriate.

The joke immediately made the atmosphere awkward. Yati Pesek's expression looked uncomfortable, but she tried to respond calmly.
" Saiki sampeyan arepa enom dadi my teacher you know (Now you, even though you are young, are my teacher, you know) ," answered Yati Pesek in a polite tone.
However, instead of stopping his jokes, Gus Miftah made more hurtful remarks. This then made his name get criticized again.
" I am grateful that Aunt Yati is ugly and works as a singer. If she were beautiful, she would be a lont* ," he said.
Apparently, for two years Yati Pesek held back her heartache from Miftah's words. In a voice note uploaded by Erick Estrada, Yati Pesek poured out her heart.

As an artist who always prioritizes good character and manners, Yati felt that Gus Miftah's words really hurt her feelings.
" But Miftah called me that, called me a bastard, a whore, what did I do wrong ?" he continued.

In fact, at the time of the incident, Yati attended the event without payment, purely to learn and support culture. However, the reception she received was actually an insult.

Erick Estrada, who considered Yati Pesek like his own mother, also felt devastated by the incident. In his statement, Erick expressed the hope that Gus Miftah would immediately apologize directly to Yati Pesek
" So please, Gus Miftah apologize to the legend Yati Pesek, because until now he is still hurt even though he has forgiven her ," said Erick.
