In a chat with Raffi Ahmad on the RANS Entertainment YouTube channel, Soimah admitted that television jobs are not as busy as before. This is what made her decide to take a break from the entertainment world.
"But where have you been, So? We both know, Soimah is often on Indosiar, this dangdut show is on break," asked Raffi, quoted by brilio.net from YouTube RANS Entertainment, Monday (02/9).
"Are you sleeping, no, I'm resting," answered Soimah.
It is known that Soimah has been taking a break from the entertainment world for more than 6 months, starting from January 2024. During her break, Herwan Prandoko's wife admitted that she chose to fill her free time by gardening in her home garden.

Taking a break from the entertainment world has its own wisdom for the 43-year-old artist. Because, Soimah said she has time to accompany her children's daily life at home.

However, there is another deeper reason behind Soimah's decision to take a break from the television world. Soimah revealed the dark side of the industry she has been involved in. The Indonesian television world, according to her, is filled with unhealthy competition that often results in fellow artists bringing each other down.
"The TV industry is indeed cruel, there are many versions of it. One of them is twisting and turning, stabbing each other in the back," said Soimah.
Soimah gave a real example of how filming schedules and moments of appearing on stage often become a 'war' arena where whoever is slow will be eliminated.
"Hurry up, whoever can't speak or isn't fast, his career will 'die'," he added.
This bitter experience was also felt when she was reprimanded to remove her Javanese accent which was her trademark. However, Soimah chose to maintain her identity, even if it meant she had to lose the opportunity to appear on screen.
With all the bitter and sweet experiences she has gone through, taking a break from the entertainment world gave Soimah the opportunity to reflect and find simple happiness in the midst of her family.
