Anggun C Sasmi is the person in question. Behind her success, it turns out that Anggun did not finish high school. She revealed this fact when she was invited to Najwa Shihab's YouTube channel. However, the singer of the song "Mimpi" emphasized that her failure was not due to lack of ability.
"I didn't graduate from high school. Actually, I was smart in school, enjoyed going to school, and enjoyed learning. That's why SMA 68 was difficult at that time. You had to have the best grades," said Anggun, quoted from Najwa Shihab's YouTube in 2023.

The main reason Anggun did not finish high school was her busy schedule in the entertainment world. However, she acknowledged the importance of education, but learning from life also has an equally important value. Anggun proved this through her success as a singer.
"For me, academic education is very important, especially if we have time and are funded by our parents and have such good fortune. But there are also those who learn from life. Maybe I am the second person. Not graduating from high school is okay, it doesn't mean I'm stupid," he added.

Anggun broke into the international music market starting in 1997 by launching the English version of her first album titled Snow on the Sahara in 33 countries in Asia, Europe, and America.
