Having had a career from a young age, it is not surprising to see that Anggun still exists in the Indonesian entertainment world. However, behind his success, there was a figure who helped shape his character and life journey, namely his father, Darto Singo.
In a recent television program, Kang Maman, a well-known Indonesian writer, revealed interesting facts about Anggun C Sasmi's father. Anggun was told that his father was a famous children's book writer. One of Darto Singo's works is a story about a lion, where the lion is depicted as a greedy creature, not as the main character.
"The most extraordinary lesson from your father is called Darto Singo. Make a children's story about a lion. But the lion is not a character, but a greedy human being," said Kang Maman, quoted by brilio.net from a video on Instagram @qna_metrotv, Tuesday (30/ 7).

Kang Maman asked why Darto Singo didn't feature himself in the story. Darto Singo answered that he felt he was full of shortcomings, and this was reflected in his work.
"And when I asked why you didn't describe yourself? Yes, that's how I am, I'm a human being full of flaws. And that's in this book," explained Kang Maman.
Kang Maman then showed Anggun a book by his father. He also told us that they were both born on November 10, which is also Heroes' Day.
"This is all your father's work. I will never forget it because we were both born on November 10," explained Kang Mamang.
