Brilio.net - After releasing the official teaser and trailer, the new film by Sinemaku Pictures and Legacy Pictures will finally be shown in cinema networks on May 30 2024. Directed by Inarah Syarafina, the horror film Temurun presents a horror film full of drama, mystery and secrets that brings disaster in the happiness of a family of meat entrepreneurs.
This film was made with a fresh and new approach and explores stories in society wrapped in quality cinema. Temurun film producer, Umay Shahab, said Temurun proved that the exploration carried out by Sinemaku Pictures was able to produce fresh stories. His collaboration with young Indonesian talents also shows that his production house provides ample space for the new generation to continue to develop.

"After the success of the films Kukira Kau Rumah and When You Stop Here, this year Sinemaku Pictures presents a new genre, namely horror. Directed by young talents and a young director, Inarah Syarafina, we hope this film finds surprising relevance for horror audiences Indonesia, especially young people," said Umay Shahab.
This film stars Yasamin Jasem, Bryan Domani, Jajang C. Noer, Kiki Narendra, Mian Tiara, Nagra Pakusadewo, and Karina Suwandi. As the debut work from the production house Sinemaku Pictures, Temurun successfully presents a tense story and encourages creativity to terrorize the audience with a strong combination of drama, mystery and horror elements.

The film Temurun tells the story of the lives of Sena (Bryan Domani) and Dewi (Yasamin Jasem) after their mother died. The two of them were picked up by their father to live together in the city and inherit the family's meat production company. When they arrived at the house, Dewi and Sena were introduced to their biological grandmother, Gayatri (Jajang C. Noer). Both of them were also given jobs, Sena in the meat production department and Dewi in the administration department.
Dewi finds some comfort in Gayatri's grandmother, while Sena continues to try to win her father's love. However, due to finding signs of demonic magic, Sena tries to invite Dewi to run away but Dewi refuses because she is blinded by her new life. Until finally Dewi was trapped and it turned out that she was being prepared for her family's ritual as the new container for the devil inside Gayatri's grandmother.
"The film Temurun is a collaborative work of all the cast and crew. My vision was well translated by the crew and cast. Hopefully Temurun can be a satisfying and refreshing horror presentation for all Indonesian audiences," said director Inarah Syarafina.
Meanwhile, Executive Producer of the film Temurun, Prilly Latuconsina, added that the horror genre, which is currently in the spotlight in Indonesian cinema, proves that new stories are always coming and the encouragement from creators to create new works also continues to come.

"We don't want to just join in making horror films. More than that, we want to present a story that is close to our audience, young people and Gen Z because the film Temurun tells the story of a legacy passed down from our parents and even our grandparents. "Hopefully this theme will have resonance and emotional closeness for young Indonesian audiences," said Prilly Latuconsina.
Bryan Domani revealed that the Temurun filming process gave him a new experience. Dealing with the complex situation experienced by Sena and her family gave her a new perspective in exploring her role.
"Viewers will experience an adrenaline rush while watching Temurun. They will follow Dewi and Sena's journey in exploring family secrets that have traumatized both of them," said Bryan Domani.
Yasamin Jasem also revealed that it took courage to play the character Dewi in this film.
"It takes courage to play the character of Dewi. One of the fun things about the film Temurun is because in the process I worked with young talents, which gave me comfort in playing the role," added Yasamin Jasem.
