Brilio.net - Nunung is a popular comedian in Indonesia who has had a career in the entertainment world since 1986. If you count it, he has been active in the entertainment world for 38 years.
His name became popular through the Srimulat comedy group. Meanwhile, the peak of his career was when Nunung joined the Opera Van Java event with Sule, Andre Taulany, Aziz Gagap, and Parto Patrio. It's not just his funny jokes, his beautiful Javanese face is what attracts this comedian from Solo.
Even though his name is now famous as a successful comedian, who would have thought that Nunung's family used to live in poverty. He was so poor that his family was not considered by other relatives.
The 61-year-old comedian became teary-eyed when he talked about his past. Nunung felt sad when he remembered his family who had been exiled.
"My mother has 6 siblings, one of whom is very rich. My mother is shunned. If they have big plans, we can't be invited there," said Nunung when he was a guest star on Rumpi: No Secret.

In fact, it is not uncommon for the Nunung family to become victims of slander. They are often accused of being thieves whenever a family loses something.
"If they have big intentions, we can't go in there, me and my brothers and sisters," said Nunung.
"(But) If there is a loss at his house, my family will blame it. (Even though) we never even checked," he continued.
To help his family survive, Nunung worked as a courier. He also sold batik and became a singer on call.
The experience of singing from one stage to another apparently helped Nunung build self-confidence. Until finally Nunung joined the comedy group Srimulat in the 1980s.
Nunung's popularity increased after he starred in the soap opera "Si Doel Anak Sekolahan". Then, his role as a comedian on the show "Opera Van Java" further strengthened his position as one of the leading comedians in Indonesia.

Along with his career success, Nunung is now able to raise the status of his family. He even supports around 50 family members, including children, grandchildren, uncles, aunts and nephews. Even though this drained his savings, Nunung felt grateful to be able to make his family happy.
The career success of the woman whose full name is Tri Retno Prayudati also apparently had an influence on the attitude of her siblings. If in the past they were always looked down upon , now the Nunung family is recognized by other relatives.
"There was a change when I was able to become Nunung, I could make my family happy, raise the status of my extended family, they are good," he said.

At the age of six, Nunung is still active in the entertainment industry. He continues to fight for the happiness of his family, especially his grandchildren, while hoping to always be given health and strength to live his life.
