Nikita Mirzani's attorney responded to the discourse on restorative justice in Lolly's case.

Nikita Mirzani's attorney, Fahmi Bachmid, recently made a sharp sarcasm regarding the discourse of restorative justice (RJ). It all started with the Lolly case where Nikita reported Lolly's boyfriend, Vadel Badjideh, to the South Jakarta Metro Police on charges of molestation and abortion in September 2024.

Fahmi emphasized that if Vadel felt innocent, there should be no need to bother discussing RJ. "If he is innocent, why bother with RJ?" he said in a clarification video on the Intens Investigasi YouTube channel.

"The sentences that appear actually show an admission of guilt. If someone feels innocent, why should they try to reconcile?" he continued.

Fahmi further explained about RJ, which is regulated in the National Police Chief Regulation Number 8 of 2021. RJ aims to return the victim to their original state, but in cases of molestation and abortion, he emphasized that this is not possible.

"This case is not just about property, where we can return the lost money. This is a more complex issue. Don't dream of solving this problem outside the law. It's impossible!" he explained.

According to him, RJ should not be applied in cases involving sexual violence, because the impact is much deeper and cannot be measured in material terms. Fahmi firmly rejected any attempt to resolve this case outside the legal path, emphasizing that justice must be upheld for the victim.
