Indonesian film "Istirahatlah Kata-Kata" (Solo, Solitude), directed by Yosep Anggi Noen, won a Special Jury Award in the 25th edition of the Love is Folly International Film Festival organized by the Congress and Festival Centre, in Varna, Bulgaria from 25 August to 3 September 2017.
A total of 102 movies were screened in the Balkan's biggest and second most prestigious film festival after Grand Prix Award, according to Art and cultural relations of KBRI Sofia, Nurul Sofia.
Indonesian film's participation in the festival was the fruit of KBRI Sofia and Ministry of Education and Culture (Kemendikbud)'s Film Development Center partnership which aimed to encourage Indonesian filmmakers for competing in a global event.
Selected Indonesian movies screened in the special segment of Indonesian Panorama included "Nokah", "Athirah", "Salawaku", "Emma", "Aisyah Biarkan Kami Bersaudara" and "Kejarlah Daku Kau Kutangkap".
Sekar Ayu Asmara, the curator of Ministry of Education and Culture Film Development Center revealed thatthe story of Widji Tukul in "Istirahatlah Kata-Kata" could happento anyone and that she wished more Indonesian moviescouldparticipate in the event.
Proud Indonesian Ambassador to Sofia, Sri Astari Rasjid further expected more Indonesian film to be able to promote the country's tourism.
