Brilio.net - Ifan Seventeen's position as President Director of Perum Produksi Film Negara (PFN) has again drawn public attention. Since being officially appointed, the vocalist of the band Seventeen has continued to receive various criticisms questioning his capacity as a musician who is trusted to lead a state-owned company in the film sector.
In response to the various debates, Ifan finally spoke up through his latest upload on social media. He not only provided clarification but also opened up a discussion space, including the possibility of him stepping down from the position.
In his upload, Ifan emphasized that he is ready to be replaced if there is indeed a figure who is more capable of leading PFN. He made this statement with full awareness and without the ambition to maintain his position alone.
"If there are any friends who are considered capable, willing and able to replace me, please come to the PFN office anytime. The PFN door will always be open. And if I feel there is someone more capable of replacing me, I will step down," wrote Ifan in his Instagram post, quoted by brilio.net on Sunday (23/3).

However, Ifan asked for the opportunity to continue working if there is no suitable replacement. He wants to continue carrying out the task even though it is difficult.
"But if there isn't one yet, please let me work. Because I will not back down from an assignment no matter how difficult the situation is until the end of the struggle. Bismillah," he added.
In his clarification, Ifan explained that before him, there were several candidates who were offered the position but refused because they knew the PFN's very difficult conditions.
"Btw, before me, there were several candidates who were offered and refused because they knew the PFN situation was very difficult, with almost impossible conditions," he explained.

Ifan expressed his motivation for accepting the position as a form of devotion to the country. In fact, at that time the PFN was in crisis.
"Then why do I want to?! I feel like I've been living comfortably for too long in this country that we love, it's time to give back by serving. So when I was offered, I felt like this was an opportunity for service that I believe in," said Ifan.
In his upload, Ifan also explained PFN's financial condition which is currently still "bleeding" or at a loss. He revealed various problems that are now his responsibility since being appointed as President Director.
"Debts that are still piling up in the tens of billions, several obligations to pay salaries in arrears, vendor debts, BPJS, to THR which until now has not been delivered to all employees, these are problems that automatically shifted to my shoulders after the inauguration," he explained.
Furthermore, Ifan emphasized that the position he holds is not an easy job. He admitted that he is trying to solve the problems currently faced by PFN.

"So this is not a 'job' that is 'just sitting back and getting paid'. In the future, there must be commitment and hard work that I must do as the new leader in this company to solve the problems above," he stressed.
Ifan also revealed that PFN is not a company that receives a budget from the APBN. To meet operational costs including employee salaries, PFN only relies on its own income. This condition makes employee salary payments only reach 30-40% of what they should be for months.
Until this news was written, there has been no official response from the Ministry of SOEs or the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy regarding Ifan Seventeen's statement. The public is still waiting for further developments regarding the future of leadership at PFN.
