Our favourite baristas Ben (Chicco Jerikho) and Jody (Rio Dewanto) are back, in their latest film Filosofi Kopi 2. Crafted from a mix of ideas sent in by viewers of the first film, the storyline is bursting with creativity and drama. Visinema Pictures received more than one thousand stories from their program Ngeracik Cerita #BenJodyIdea.
Without revealing too much, Winner of Putri Indonesia 2010, Nadine Alexandra joins the cast as Brie, an experienced barista with a love for the production of coffee beans. Luna Maya (Tarra) enters the story as an entrepreneur and eventually, investor. The introduction of two new female characters adds a complex dimension and depth to the storyline, but youll just have to wait and see
Taking a very local approach to filming by exploring the coffee plantations in Toraja, city life in Makassar and the culture of Yogyakarta, Filosofi Kopi 2 is alive with humour, emotion and a thirst for home-grown coffee. The film builds on the success of the first to deliver a tale brimming with passion, hardship, blossoming romance and of course, damn good coffee.
