The relationship between Farhat Abbas and Denny Sumargo has improved after mediation by the Indonesian Ministry of Social Affairs (Kemensos). Initially, they were involved in a dispute regarding donations collected by Pratiwi Noviyanthi for Agus Salim. However, after mediation, the situation seems to have calmed down.
Denny Sumargo revealed that Farhat Abbas had sent a letter of withdrawal of the police report against him. In a clarification video aired on the Intens Investigasi YouTube channel.
"Yesterday, Mr. Farhat sent me a letter withdrawing the report against me, but I don't know about Novi," he said.
Farhat Abbas, who is Agus Salim's lawyer in the donation chaos, previously reported Denny Sumargo to the South Jakarta Metro Police on charges of racial discrimination and hate speech. Denny admitted that Farhat sent him a WhatsApp message, and he felt that Farhat was now calmer and more composed.
"He has my WA. I haven't replied yet. It says: Thank you, suhu," said Denny.
Although Farhat Abbas has withdrawn the police report, Denny Sumargo chose not to rush in responding. He wanted to make sure there was written evidence regarding the withdrawal of the report.
"Bang Farhat has withdrawn the report. I think so. I don't know," he said.
The conflict between Denny and Farhat finally found a bright spot after they met at the Ministry of Social Affairs office, Jakarta, on December 4, 2024, attended by the Indonesian Minister of Social Affairs, Saifullah Yusuf. Denny also sent prayers for Farhat, hoping that Farhat would always be healthy and better in the future.
"Reduce the emotions on Instagram Stories and change the background, don't keep it pink ," concluded Denny.
