Baim Wong recently gave a rather surprising clarification regarding his relationship with Paula Verhoeven . He asserted that he never taught their children to hate Paula, even though their relationship is currently not good. In public, Baim swore that he never forbade his children from meeting their mother.
"I never taught my child to hate his mother, never. What do you want to swear? My parents won't be safe in Heaven? My parents won't possibly enter Heaven if I'm like this," Baim said firmly at the South Jakarta Religious Court.
He even dared to swear in the name of his dead parents. According to Baim, the best way to raise children in the midst of divorce is to maintain a good relationship.
"The bonding is really good, my child and Paula, Paula, let's do this, the children's bonding is getting better. If they want to stay overnight with you, that's okay," he added.
He also regretted the confession that Paula had not seen their children for a long time. Baim emphasized that he had never forbidden Paula to meet their children.
"I never forbid anyone from suddenly saying, we haven't met for a month, we haven't met for two months, we haven't met for six months," he explained.
At first, Baim felt hesitant to talk about this, because Paula was still the mother of his children. However, he felt like he was always cornered in this situation.
"I'm confused whether I should speak up or not. Like now, am I wrong or not doing it. But Bismillahirrahmanirrahim I'm doing this with Allah's permission," concluded Baim Wong.
