The fate of Asri Welas and Galiech Rahardja's household was finally decided by the Depok Religious Court, West Java. The panel of judges granted Asri's lawsuit to separate from Galiech.
In the divorce verdict hearing that took place on Thursday (23/1), there were six important points conveyed by the panel of judges. One of them was regarding child custody.
"One, grant the plaintiff's lawsuit. Two, issue a divorce decree against the defendant Galiech Ridha Raharja against the plaintiff, Asri Pramawati," said Samsudin, the Chief Justice, in the trial.
"Three, to punish the plaintiff and defendant to comply with and implement the contents of the mediation agreement dated November 26, 2024 which was signed in front of the mediator," he added.
In addition to granting the divorce suit, Asri also received custody of their three children: Rahwa Gilbram Ridha Rahardja, Rayyan Gibran Ridha Rahardja, and Renzo Gibrar Ridha Rahardja.
"Four, determining that the children remain in the care of the defendant, Asri Prahmawati, until the children are adults, live independently or are 21 years old," explained Samsudin.
Although Asri has custody, Galiech still has access to meet and give affection to his three children. "Still giving access to the defendant as the father to meet and give affection to the children," said Samsudin.
For information, Asri Welas filed for divorce from Galiech Ridha Rahardja in November 2024 after 17 years of married life. This divorce was said to be the result of disputes that had occurred between them for the past five years, which even their children had known about.
