Brilio.net - The social media world was shocked by a viral video showing alleged abuse of a two year old toddler with the initials MK at a daycare in Cimanggis, Depok. This incident reportedly occurred on June 10 2024 and was allegedly carried out by the owner of the daycare with the initials MI.
In the CCTV footage, MK, who was with other children in one of the daycare rooms, was seen crying. The CCTV footage shows that the recording data was taken on June 10 2024 at 09.02 WIB.
Not long after, someone suspected of being MI entered the room. MK immediately hugged MI's left leg while crying hysterically. Without any definite reason, MI immediately committed violence against MK until the poor boy fell. Next, MI left MK with another boy in the room.
According to Depok Metro Police Chief, Kombes Arya Perdana, his party already knows information regarding the alleged abuse. Currently the police are conducting an in-depth investigation.
"We are still investigating the case now," said Arya as quoted by Liputan6.com.

This was revealed when MK's parent, Rizki Dwi Utari, reported that he found bruises on his child's body after being picked up from daycare. The wounds included stab marks which were allegedly carried out with scissors. The daycare denied the alleged abuse and claimed that MK did not experience any fall or impact.
Meanwhile, from the CCTV footage received by Rizki, it appears that MK experienced violence perpetrated by MI. The footage shows MI pushing, hitting, kicking and even stabbing MK with scissors. Apart from that, MK was also seen locked up with other toddlers in a room without supervision.
Rizki also revealed that after receiving a report from one of the teachers at the daycare, he found more evidence of the violence experienced by MK. Other teachers at the daycare also testified that MI often intimidated them so they would not report these acts of violence to their parents.
Apparently it didn't just happen to MK, several other children who were entrusted to the same daycare also experienced the same thing. Due to this incident, Rizki also plans to report this case to the Indonesian Child Protection Commission (KPAI) to get further attention.
As a result of this abuse, MK experienced deep psychological trauma. MK is often afraid and feels unsafe every time he sees or hears MI's voice. This trauma also affected MK in interacting with new people, making him a closed child who easily felt threatened.
It is hoped that the police and KPAI will immediately follow up this case seriously and provide protection and assistance for MK and other children who are victims of violence at the daycare.
