Hello friend Brilio! Anyone like Dawet? Dawet is a typical Indonesian dish which is usually served with ice. However, this dawet is different from the others. This typical menu from the Menoreh hills uses chili sauce to enjoy it. Dawet Sambal Nyi Ponirah is called. Dawet sambal Nyi Ponirah is a pioneer of dawet sambal in the local area and has become a culinary tourism destination in the Girimulyo area, Kulonprogo.

Starting from her sister's invitation, Nyi Ponirah has now been selling sambal dawet for 56 years. From wanting to try mixing dawet to make it different, now this dish is already known outside the city and can sell tens to hundreds of portions a day. Dawet is also usually served at official local government events.

Another unique characteristic of Nyi Ponirah's sambal dawet is the raw material for making cendol, which usually uses rice flour for cendol, but in Nyi Ponirah's sambal dawet, she uses the starch of canna plant tubers that she gets around her house. The price offered is quite cheap, one portion of dawet chili sauce is only priced at IDR 4 thousand. Dawet chili sauce has a sweet, savory and slightly spicy taste. Buyers can buy directly at home or at the Cublak market every Wednesday and Saturday.
