Police said that they will continue prosecuting Ahmad Rifai Pasra, a man from Pandang Panjang who claimed Kampung Melayu bombing was staged and fake on his Facebook page.
Although he has made a letter of apology and promised he wont do it again, the prosecution will keep going on.

We accept this apology, but we must see there are around 425,000 of Police members and Jakartans who are scared, [and] anxious due to this bomb, said National Police Spokeperson Sr. Commr. Martinus Sitompul on Tuesday.
Martinus also said this prosecution is also as a reminder for others.
We need to give deterrent effect to others if [they] do posts that spread hatred, hostility, so that the same thing wont happen again," he said.

Rifais lawyer has requested suspension of detention since he has two children and a pregnant wife to take care of.

Responding to his apology, Martinus said the decision will depend on the investigators assessment.
[It] would be the investigators decisionwhether [the detention] can be suspended or not. But the investigators have theirown assessment before they arrest someone, for example, whether the suspect might run away, repeat his deed, or others, Martinus added.
Rifai posted on his Facebook twenty points of his analysis related to Kampung Melayu bombing where he started the post with sentence Dismantle The Fake ISIS Terrorist by Ahmad Rifai Pasra (The Democratic Network for Constitution).
