Brilio.net - The condition of a clean bathtub can affect the quality of the water it holds. Not without reason, a dirty bathtub tends to make the water it holds also cloudy. Especially if the dirt comes from sand that has accumulated at the bottom of the bathtub. Not only does it make the teak bathtub look dirty, the water in the tub also feels unhygienic when used.

Basically, sandy baths are often a common problem experienced by many people, especially those who live in areas near the beach or in dusty places. Therefore, the bathtub must be cleaned regularly if it starts to become sandy. Otherwise, sand dirt that accumulates at the bottom of the bathtub can cause health risks or even damage bath equipment, you know.

Then, to get rid of the sand at the bottom of the bath, some people usually drain the water until it runs out. This is done so that the settled sand can be cleaned easily. Although still, it takes extra effort to remove the sand from the bottom of the bath.

Even though you know what? There is an easier method for cleaning a sandy bathtub without having to drain it first. A YouTube user HanLauw once implemented this through one of the uploaded videos. Instead of using special tools, he admitted that he only relied on kitchen waste to clean the sand in the bathtub.

As reported by BrilioFood on Friday (7/6), the kitchen waste in question is plastic bottles. So this bottle will be used as a pump to remove the sand that has settled at the bottom of the bathtub. That way, the water can be clean and hygienic again.

How to use it is quite easy. First of all, make a hole in the bottle cap. If you want it to be easier, you can use an old bottle that has a pointed cap and a hole. That way, you don't need to bother punching holes in the lid.

Next, make sure the bottle is empty. Then squeeze until the air in the bottle runs out a little. Only then put this bottle in the bathtub (still squeezing it so that the water doesn't go straight in).

At this stage, directly aim the tip of the bottle at the sandy bottom of the bathtub. Then spread the bottle a little so that the sand from the bottom of the bath can be sucked into the bottle. So, carry out this process carefully to the sandy bottom of the bathtub.

If you feel the sand in the bottle is full, remove it from the bath. After that, throw away the sand from the bottle. Only then squeeze it and put it back in the bath until it is completely clean. That way, the bathtub will be shinier and more hygienic when used again.

How? Easy enough, right? Apart from being practical, this method tends to be fast and saves water. You don't need to waste water just to drain and clean the sand that has accumulated at the bottom of the bathtub. And not just sand, you can also practice this method to clean pebbles or small stones at the bottom of the bathtub.
