Brilio.net - The dishwashing sink is one of the areas that is often used when cooking. Not only for washing dishes, this area is also often used for washing hands, washing various foodstuffs, and much more. Because it is used too often, it is not surprising that the dishwashing sink often produces an unpleasant odor.

Bad odors in the dishwashing sink can be caused by several factors. One of the causes is a blockage in the dishwashing sink drain. The blockage usually consists of a pile of food waste which is simply thrown into the dishwasher.

Even though the pile of leftover food has been removed, sometimes the stench still smells strong from the dishwashing sink drain, you know. Knowing this, a number of people immediately brushed all parts of the dishwashing sink with various cleaning solutions. For maximum cleanliness, like it or not, the dishwashing sink must be brushed vigorously and for a long time.

But it turns out there are other, more practical ways to get rid of unpleasant odors in the dishwashing sink. The method was demonstrated by Instagram user @mamiemanda. In his video upload, this netizen only relies on two kitchen ingredients. Curious about how?

After leaving it for 30 minutes, flush the dishwashing sink drain with running water. Occasionally you can also alternately splash it with hot water. This process aims to remove the blockage in the dishwashing sink drain.

To make the dishwashing sink look clean, this netizen also scrubbed the surface with a cleaning solution he prepared himself. Don't forget to brush the basket or filter, OK?

How to deal with a clogged dishwasher.

There are several ways you can try to deal with a clogged dishwasher:

1. Use chemical cleaners.

You can try using a chemical cleaner specifically designed for cleaning drains. Follow the instructions for use carefully and make sure the room is well ventilated when using it.

2. Use a plunger.

A plunger is an effective tool for clearing clogged drains. Place the plunger over the drain hole and press firmly several times. This can help push clogging objects out of the drain.

3. Use a mixture of hot water and baking soda.

Mix hot water with baking soda and pour it down the drain. Let the mixture work for a few moments before trying to rinse it off with water.

4. Use a drain cleaning cable.

If the blockage is severe enough, you may need to use a drain cleaning cable (also known as a drain snake) to reach and remove the blockage in the drain.

5. Check the end of the drain.

Sometimes, a blockage can occur at the end of the drain under the sink. You can try cleaning the area by removing the drain pipe and cleaning it manually.

Be sure to use appropriate personal protection when cleaning, especially if you use chemicals or tools that could cause injury.
