Brilio.net - Whole, crispy, and melted filling risol is indeed very appetizing. However, for some people, making delicious and perfect risol is full of its own challenges. Not without reason, there is one common problem that often occurs when making risol, namely the skin that is easily broken or leaks when fried. In fact, the condition of risol like this tends to damage the appearance and quality of the dish.

The cracking of the risol skin is usually caused by several factors, including the skin dough being too thin or not strong enough to hold the filling inside. The imperfect rolling and folding process can also cause leaks. In addition, the wrong oil temperature when frying can also affect the final result, where oil that is too hot can cause the risol skin to dry out quickly and crack before the filling is fully cooked.

To overcome this challenge, you can imitate the trick done by the Instagram account user @asahid_tehyung. Through one of the uploaded videos, the netizen shared a simple trick in preventing risol from breaking when fried. One important trick to note is when folding the risol skin.

As reported by BrilioFood from the Instagram account @asahid_tehyung on Friday (13/9), make sure the risol skin used is elastic so that it does not tear easily. Avoid using risol skin that is too thin or too thick. Usually thick risol skin tends to be stiff and eventually tears easily.

When you want to fold it, add enough filling so that it doesn't leak easily when fried. Don't put the filling right in the middle. Put the filling a little to the side so that one side of the skin (the narrow one) can cover the risol when it is first rolled.

After that, fold the risol from the narrow side first. If so, fold the right and left sides of the risol skin by pulling it slightly. When it is almost tight, then roll the risol until it is completely closed. Make sure you roll the risol completely so that it does not break easily or leak its contents.

"Roll it slowly and make sure there are no gaps. If there is even the slightest gap, it could leak when fried. So make sure the folds are neat and tight," explained the owner of the Instagram account @asahid_tehyung.

After folding, dip the risol into the egg white and the ground bread crumbs. Then set aside. Next, heat the oil in a frying pan. Then heat it over medium heat. Avoid using oil that is too hot because the risol can break and leak its contents.

Now, to make sure the oil is ready to use or not, you can dip a stick or the end of a wooden kitchen utensil. If there are already many bubbles appearing around the utensil, it means the oil is hot enough and ready to use. Immediately put in the risol that has been coated with flour. Then fry until it is golden brown, then drain.

"Don't fry it for too long, just until it turns golden brown. If you fry it for too long, your risoles can be too oily," he explained further.

This upload about the trick to make risol has been viewed more than 74 thousand times on Instagram. It is no wonder that many netizens are interested in trying to make risol at home. On the other hand, there are also quite a few Instagram users who share useful tricks when making risol.

"Same here, I also fold it like that," replied Instagram @sitimarz.

"Yes, mine always leaks when fried," said Instagram user @kikynazswa.

"The point is that the risol skin must be flexible according to the measurements, the filling must not be excessive... because excessive filling can cause the skin to crack when fried," said Instagram @itsmyrisols.

"Thanks, sis, for the tips," wrote the Instagram account @yantiade1411.

"One more thing, don't use too much oil, just enough, like in the video, if there's too much, the skin will crack," commented the Instagram account @iisfathh12.
