Some people usually move frozen meat to the lower chiller or refrigerator so that the meat softens. However, there are also those who use a microwave to make it faster. Although usually, it still takes a minimum of 30 minutes to make the meat really soft.

Even though there are certain tricks that can be relied on to speed up the process of thawing frozen meat from the freezer, you know. This trick was used by Instagram user @melizah21. Through one of the uploaded videos, he admitted that he could thaw frozen meat in just 5 minutes.

As reported by BrilioFood from the Instagram account @melizah21 on Thursday (20/6), there are a number of kitchen ingredients used to thaw frozen meat, namely salt, baking soda and vinegar. So, this ingredient will later be mixed with water and used to soak the meat. But there is no need to worry about contamination, because the soaked meat must be wrapped in plastic so that it is not directly exposed to water.

To be clear, prepare a bowl first and fill it with water. Then mix the vinegar, baking soda and salt in the container. If so, stir until all the ingredients are dissolved and mixed well.

Next, add the frozen meat that has been packaged in plastic. Then let it sit and soak for approximately 5 minutes. Duration can be adjusted to the size or thickness of the meat. If it's thicker and bigger, soak it longer, OK?

Vinegar, with its acidic properties, helps lower the freezing point and breaks down protein bonds in meat. Meanwhile, baking soda, which is alkaline, reacts with vinegar to produce carbon dioxide, creating bubbles that help speed up the thawing process. On the other hand, salt has the ability to lower the freezing point of water and can speed up the melting of ice on frozen meat.
