How to deal with hissing LPG gas cylinders, effective in plugging leaks even if you don't add a rubber band

This method is more effective in stopping leaking LPG gas cylinders. Shahfara Raida

Brilio.net - LPG gas cylinders that have just been obtained from traders are not in good condition. Sometimes this tool leaks with a hissing sound or the smell of sulfur coming out of the tube. When experiencing this, quite a few people panic because they are afraid that the LPG gas cylinder will explode.

Generally, leaking LPG gas cylinders can be overcome by adding pieces of rubber bands . The rubber band can be inserted into the gas cylinder hole to prevent leaks. Apart from that, there are also those who use pieces of used sandals, threads, and much more.

However, there is a different way shown by the YouTube channel Forced to Be Creative to overcome the problem of hissing gas cylinders. Through the video, he admitted that this method was more effective in stopping leaking LPG gas cylinders, so that they could work normally again as cooking tools in the kitchen.

"Usually they are given rubber bands or coated with plastic, in my opinion they are not very efficient," he stressed, quoted by BrilioFood from YouTube Forced to Be Creative on Friday (5/7).

So, to practice this method, you need one more rubber seal. However, this additional rubber seal only takes half, so you have to cut it first. Then, insert the piece of rubber seal, followed by 1 whole rubber seal.

After the rubber seal is inserted neatly, continue installing the regulator slowly until it is completely tight. If there is no longer a hissing sound or the smell of sulfur coming out of the LPG gas cylinder, you can be sure that it is no longer leaking.

However, the owner of the YouTube account Forced to Be Creative said that he often found that his gas cylinder was still leaking. This can happen because there is a gap or small hole on the edge of the neck of the gas cylinder hole.

So, if you also experience this, the way to overcome this is simply wrap the edge of the neck of the gas cylinder hole with duct tape. Wrap it several times until the source of the leak is completely covered.
