Brilio.net - The phenomenon of husbands who like to ration their wives' monthly allowances is still quite common in society. This practice often reaps controversy, especially in the modern era where gender equality is increasingly being promoted.
Many believe that allocating monthly money to the wife can reflect inequality in the marriage relationship. While others argue that this is a form of effective household financial management.
However, amidst the debate, celebrity couple Vincent Verhaag and Jessica Iskandar have shown a different way of managing their household finances. In a recent television show, Vincent revealed that he actually hands over all of his income to his wife.
Vincent asserted that since the beginning of the marriage, he never held his own income. In fact, Vincent's account was held by Jessica. Interestingly, this step was Vincent's own initiative, not Jessica's request.
"Everything (income) goes to him," said Vincent as reported by brilio.net from the Obrolan Setiap Waktu Trans7 program, Friday (30/8).

Unlike Jessica's previous experience of implementing a "split bill" system, the couple no longer splits household expenses. Jessica admitted that she never asked Vincent to hand over all his income.
"Before I was with Vincent, it was like that, but now it's different," said the woman who is familiarly called Jedar.
However, Vincent still gets a monthly allowance from Jessica for his personal needs. Unfortunately, the couple is reluctant to reveal the amount of the monthly allowance to the public.
"Yes, it's true (rationed) every month," explained Jessica and Vincent.

Vincent's decision to hand over all his income to his wife has drawn mixed comments. Many have questioned this decision, worried that problems might arise in the marriage.
However, Vincent sticks to his marriage goals. The Dutch model insists that marriage is not for divorce, and he believes that every problem has a solution.
"Many people say, Cent, why are you doing this? If something happens, what will happen to the money in my wife's hands? Now I ask them back what my purpose in getting married is. Getting married to get divorced later? No way," said Vincent.
"And for every problem there is a solution. As long as we don't want a divorce, as long as we don't want a separation, and we still agree with our goal from the beginning that we will be married forever, why should I worry about money? Money can be found," he continued.

The 32-year-old man also stated that he was not worried about his finances being held by his wife. For him, money can be earned again, the most important thing is the commitment to maintain the marriage forever. In fact, Vincent emphasized that if one day they are no longer compatible, he will not ask for back the money that has been held by his wife.
