Brilio.net/en - There was a time when Indonesian local TV played several Taiwanese movies and series over and over in the 1990s. One of the most famous movies was about Bo Bo Ho (Hao Shaowen) as the chubby main character who is a foolish crybaby and always gets in trouble. Bo Bo Ho has a best friend (Shi Xiaolong) who masters the kung-fu moves and helps Bo Bo Ho with solutions. The other characters were the girls Chau Mooi (Jun Ji Hyun), who likes Bo Bo Ho, and Sasa, whom Bo Bo Ho likes.
In a few different movies, the four characters play the more or less the same roles, although using different names. But the most famous title is Shaolin Popey, with older actors who were already famous at the time, Jimmy Lin and Vivian Hsu.

For Indonesian Millennials, the casts of the movies must be very familiar and you wont realize how many years have passed since the movie was made. The casts are now all grown up and have focused on their private lives, education and family. Only recently have the boys continue their acting careers again with Hao Shaowen starring in the movie Youre Apple of My Eye and Shi Xiaolong showed up at IP Man 2.
In the pictures below you wont recognize how different they are then and now, unless you pay more attention:
