When Falcon Pictures announced the Indonesian version of A Business Proposal, the names Ariel Tatum and Abidzar Al-Ghifari immediately caught the attention. Not long after, netizens began comparing the film to the original South Korean version.
Ariel Tatum, who is no stranger to negative comments, chooses not to get caught up in the criticism. She prefers to focus on the positive.
"I think I always say this, actually we only have two hands. We can only use them to cover our own ears, we can't cover everyone's mouths," he said in Jakarta recently.
In his interview, Ariel reminded that film is a work of art that involves many people from various backgrounds. Public response to film will certainly vary.
"And again, this is a work of art. No one can say whether it is good or bad. In my opinion, this is all a work of art that should be enjoyed and its energy felt," added the star of the film Sayap-sayap Patah .
The film A Business Proposal , directed by Rako Prijanto, also stars Caitlin Halderman, Ardhito Pramono, Indy Barends, Slamet Rahardjo, and Indro Warkop.
Ariel Tatum believes that when released in theaters, a film will find an audience that has the same energy. The actor's job is to show the best acting and support the promotion of the film so that it lands in the hearts of many people.
Ariel asserted that when the film is released, the audience with the same energy will find the film. "What we can do is try everything we can, we weave it with joy. When we bring it out how people respond and how everyone will receive it is not in our control," he explained.
He is optimistic that the Indonesian version of A Business Proposal has a character that is close to the people of the country, able to present elements of drama, comedy, and romance in the right proportions.
"So again, this is a work of art that we created with joy and happiness, hopefully we will find people who can synergize with our work," concluded Ariel Tatum.
