Ashanty felt very angry after hearing that the child of one of her employees was the victim of alleged abuse. She immediately asked her employee to bring the child to Jakarta and report the case to the authorities.
Ashanty received this shocking news a day before she left for Japan for the end of year holiday. Seeing her employee with the initials P looking restless and often crying, Ashanty asked about the problem she was facing.
"He said it seemed like my child was being harassed by someone in his village, it was one night before I was going to leave for Japan. That evening he suddenly cried. He said my child was suspected of experiencing violence," said Ashanty at Kawasan Radio Dalam, South Jakarta, on Thursday (9/1/2025).
"I said, pick up your child here, we'll take care of it after I return from Japan. It turned out that I couldn't return to my village because there was a flood disaster. So I said I don't want to know, bring your child here now. Finally, I asked for help to pick up my child here," he added.
The next day, Ashanty immediately asked the child of employee P who was suspected of being the victim of harassment. She was surprised when the child told her story clearly, as if nothing was wrong.
"He opened everything and I felt like I was the one who was sick. We are mothers, right? He and Arsyi told it like it was nothing and if you know the story, this person (the perpetrator) is like an animal," said Ashanty.
Furious with the perpetrator's actions, Ashanty asked other employees to take care of and report the case to the police. She emphasized that the perpetrator be punished as severely as possible for the depraved actions committed against her employee's child.
"Because I was going to leave (for Japan) I said report to the police, take care of this child. I didn't want to know that the person (the perpetrator) had to go to jail and this child stayed in Jakarta. Because New Year's couldn't be, so the child was taken on vacation here first. After New Year's, Mr. Aris and other employees went there, made a report," he explained.
Ashanty also thanked the Sukabumi Regency Police, West Java, who quickly responded to her report. Currently, the report process is ongoing and she is optimistic that the perpetrator will be arrested soon.
"It is currently being processed by law. I haven't been there because I just got home, but I will go there later. Thank you to the Sukabumi Police Chief for responding quickly to our report. It is currently underway, he said he will be detained soon," concluded Ashanty.
