Brilio.net/en - CNN author Griffin Shea compiled a list of 17 life changing trips. Amongst them he lists several cities around the world, as well as a variety of events. Some cities include Istanbul (3), Paris (7), Kyoto (8) Buenos Aires and even the Forbidden City. He also lists some events such as Holi in India, Wimbledon Tennis in in London and driving up the US pacific Highway 1 with it scenic and iconic views.
But only one island occupies a spot on his list and thats Indonesias very own Bali. Its no surprise seeing as tourists fall in love with the island on a daily basis. Its rich cultural history and its unique blend of religions thrust into a beautiful terrain that ranges from volcanoes to beaches, its only a fitting match for the list. The island of the gods attracts millions of tourists per year, many of them artists who further enrich the island.
Heres what Griffin had to say about the Bali:
The island's name is synonymous with "tropical paradise," and with good reason. Bali has long been a refuge for artists and writers seeking inspiration, which it offers in abundance. Stunning scenery, excellent food, nightlife and quiet retreats ... Bali is the real deal. Even though it's well visited by tourists, this is still a place of escape. Whether camping out in a backpacker lodge or a week in a resort, Bali gives visitors a chance to recalibrate by showing its own example of how to live.
