Brilio.net/en - Is there anything she doesnt do? Movie starlet and Ivy league graduate Emma Watson kicked off the year right with a feminist book club, open to everyone. The club, aptly called Our Shared Shelf is spear-headed by autobiographical novel My Life on the Road, written by feminist activist Gloria Steinem. Emma justified the choice in saying As part of my work with UN Women, I have started reading as many books and essays about equality as I can get my hands on. There is so much amazing stuff out there! Funny, inspiring, sad, thought-provoking, empowering! Ive been discovering so much that, at times, Ive felt like my head was about to explode I decided to start a Feminist book club, as I want to share what Im learning and hear your thoughts too.

Emma will feature a book every month and a discussion at the end of the month, open to everyone who has a Goodreads account. I will post some questions/quotes to get things started, writes Emma. But I would love for this to grow into an open discussion with and between you all. Whenever possible I hope to have the author, or another prominent voice on the subject, join the conversation. Everyone is welcome. I would be honoured!

Celebrity endorsements have already come in from starlets such as Sophia Bush and U.S. Soccer Player Abby Wambach. Even Gloria Steinem proposed the gals meet up in person on Twitter.

Sign us up and move over Oprah.
