Brilio.net - A man who had been living in Malaysia for 30 years without any news finally returned to his hometown, bringing a touching story that touched the hearts of many people. His departure to the neighboring country since 1993 resulted in the loss of communication with his family, to the point that they thought he was dead.
The long journey full of uncertainty finally ended happily when he managed to find traces of his family through social media. The man was finally able to return to his hometown.
When he first migrated, the man was arrested by the Malaysian police and imprisoned. The situation at that time was not as sophisticated as it is now, where communication tools were still limited. There were no smartphones or internet that could facilitate long-distance communication.

"He went abroad to Malaysia around 1993, obviously I wasn't even born yet, he was arrested by the Malaysian police and imprisoned, from there he lost news, even in that year where were there any smart gadgets like now, how would he even send a letter because he was in prison," wrote @liaemiliaa.sr, quoted by brilio.net on Wednesday (26/3).
After years of silence, the family finally accepted the situation. The man's mother, who was filled with deep sadness at the time, even held a tahlilan because she thought her son was gone. Hope began to fade as time went by, and they began to accept the worst.
"He is still alive and healthy and we are very grateful that he can return home, because when he was missing for years, the family, especially my grandmother, whose mother is my uncle in the video, even held a tahlilan because they had lost hope and thought that my uncle had died," he continued.

In fact, the man had tried to contact his family a few years ago through letters. However, because his mother's house was in the interior, the letter never arrived. This further prolonged the family's ignorance of his fate.
"Several years ago, he said he had sent a letter, but it never reached my house because at that time my grandmother's house was in the interior and hard to reach, maybe that was the reason why the letter never reached my grandmother," he said.
A miracle happened when four years ago the man finally found his mother's neighbor's Facebook account. After years of searching, he managed to find digital traces of people he knew. The news immediately spread to his hometown, filling the family who had long lost hope with happiness.
"But thank God, 4 years ago, he found my grandmother's neighbor's Facebook name after a long time looking for people's FB names if he remembered them, and when my neighbor got the news from my uncle, he immediately announced it from the mosque's loudspeaker while calling my grandmother's name to convey that there was finally news about her child who had been missing for a long time," explained a member of her family.

After finding his family again, the man continued to maintain communication by phone while collecting money to return to his hometown. His economic life in Riau was relatively simple, with an income that was only enough for daily needs. Even so, his children who were already working helped him so that he could return to the bosom of his family soon.
"From there, my uncle often communicated via cellphone with my grandmother while he collected a little of his fortune to go home, because my uncle's economic situation in Riau was only enough to eat every day with his wife and five children, even though some of his children were already working and helping to pay for my uncle's return home," he concluded.
The moment of this man's return became a heartwarming story for many people. After three decades apart, he was finally reunited with his family. The happiness could not be hidden from the face of the mother, who had always hoped that her son would return safely.
The mother seemed touched to see her son's return. When he met his mother, the man was seen kneeling at his mother's feet. Then, he carried his elderly mother home. Netizens said they were touched to see the meeting of the two.
"I can't afford to prostrate like that, but I like crying when I see this," said @herunakcikalbek4.
"Hopefully everyone who seeks sustenance and is faced with difficult times, they can feel the pleasure of blessed children and descendants who can glorify them," said @mviraaaaa_.
