Brilio.net - Sometimes, getting acc for a thesis from a lecturer is often full of challenges. One of the obstacles could be because it is difficult to meet the supervisor, especially if the lecturer has a busy schedule and other priorities. Therefore, students often have to be patient with long waiting times and repeatedly try to arrange an appointment.

That's probably what this student from Makassar felt. She even asked for permission when her lecturer joined the demonstration to guard the Constitutional Court's decision that occurred on Thursday (22/8/). Her story can be seen in a TikTok video posted by the account @ichajupliadi_.

Previously, thousands of residents took to the streets to protest in front of the DPR/MPR RI Building on Thursday (22/8). Not only in Jakarta, the demonstration also occurred in other cities, including Semarang. This demonstration was carried out in response to the Working Committee meeting held by the DPR RI Legislation Body (Baleg) regarding the Revision of the Regional Head Election Law (UU Pilkada). Moreover, the DPR RI is reported to be going to cancel the Constitutional Court decision number 60 of 2024.

In addition to students, there are also a number of lecturers who care about the situation in the country. Rather than teaching in class, they chose to participate in enlivening the protest action. One of them is a lecturer named Mr. Rahim. He teaches at one of the campuses in Makassar.

But in the middle of the demonstration, Mr. Rahim was approached by a female student. The female student was seen carrying a number of files in her hands. It was known that she apparently wanted to do thesis guidance and also ask for approval.

"Pov must be approved but the lecturer joined the demonstration," wrote the account @ichajupliadi_ as reported by brilio.net on Friday (23/8).

The video maker said thank goodness Mr. Rahim is a good lecturer. He is still willing to give autographs in the middle of the crowd.

"Excuse me, sir, you are lucky to get a supervisor, Mr. Rahim," said the account creator.

"In the midst of the demonstration, he is the only one carrying out academic duties here," he continued.

This moment then went viral and attracted the attention of netizens. Not a few said that the student used a clever way that made the lecturer unable to avoid giving her autograph. In addition, there were also those who saluted Mr. Rahim who was still willing to take to the streets.

"Clever... the lecturer was forced to sign," said the account @6031.

"Usually, when it's bound like this, the revision is complete. Just sign it, and join the demonstration," wrote the account @sharmario.

"His smile is crispy....opportunity in adversity...his goal is to finish his thesis, his signature....just do it!" said the account @socialtrendshop.

"Gosh, lecturer, what a role model! Accompanying his students on the streets. This is what you call field practice, sir, lecturer," commented the account @lucky.
