Brilio.net - Registration for the 2024 CPNS selection is still ongoing. According to information from the Letter of the Acting Head of BKN 5419/B-KS.04.01/SD/K/2024, registration for the 2024 CPNS selection has been opened since August 20, 2024 until September 6, 2024.

However, as is often the case in the online registration process, some prospective participants experienced technical difficulties. As recently viral on social media, a 2024 CPNS participant had difficulty entering his GPA.

The CPNS participant's story was shared by account X @kegblgnunfaedh. While sharing the CPNS' story, this account admitted that it was not surprised by the poor quality of employees in the government environment.

" No wonder our government agencies have strange contents, haha ," wrote this account in a tweet quoted by brilio.net on Wednesday (28/8).

In the post, a screenshot of a CPNS participant's complaint was seen who had difficulty when trying to upload his data on the registration page. The participant complained that when he entered a GPA of 3.70, the registration system automatically changed it to 3.7.

Despite trying many times, the result was still the same. His GPA of 3.70 could not be entered and all that was read was 3.7 without the zero behind it.

" Initially I wrote 3.70 for my GPA, when I checked again it turned out to be 3.7, I've changed it several times but it's still 3.7, what's the solution? " complained the applicant.

Feeling frustrated, this participant finally asked for help by uploading his problem on his Facebook account. He asked other netizens for help to provide a solution on how to enter a GPA of 3.70 instead of a GPA of 3.7.

Instead of getting a solution, the CPNS participant suddenly became the target of netizens. Many netizens were irritated and questioned how the CPNS participant did not understand the use of decimals required on the CPNS registration page.

" A question like this is asked by someone with a GPA of 3.7??? MasyaAllahh ," wrote @anotherherirl

" GPA can reach 3.7, how come you still don't understand decimal numbers, so all this time, how do you get the grades? Try it ," said @dinosbiru

" The solution is for him to go back to college, specifically taking basic mathematics courses ," commented @eMbahNyutz

" This is actually basic mathematics, but not everyone understands it and maybe not everyone was taught it. When I was studying statistics and quantitative, many of my college friends were confused about the number zero behind the decimal point ," said @annaaammmm789

Even so, there are also netizens who say that what was asked by the CPNS participants was correct and reasonable. because the GPA value is generally written two digits behind the comma. The purpose of this standard is to prevent errors in rounding the GPA value.

" The concept of writing GPA, or Grade Point Average/GPA, uses three significant figures (2 in decimal blogs). The goal is to prevent errors in rounding the GPA. Even now, there is a standard for writing GPA with 4 significant figures. So what was originally 3.5 becomes 3,500 ," explained the @thoriqmm account.
