Brilio.net/en - Princess Charlotte of England celebrates her first birthday on Monday (2/5). The birthday comes just a few days after her parents, Prince William and Kate Middleton celebrated their fifth wedding anniversary on April 29.
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge released some photographs of the adorable Charlotte, which were taken at the Kensington Palace, Sunday.
Here's a look back at Charlotte's first year as a royal.
1. Shes the 4th line to the throne

The princess was pushing a toy in this undated photo. She is fourth in line to the throne behind her brother, Prince George (who turns three in July), their father, William, and grandfather, Prince Charles.

Charlotte cuddles with her stuffed animal in a photo taken by her mother. Her birth was traditionally celebrated with simultaneous royal gun salutes in London's Hyde Park and at the Tower of London 41 and 62, respectively. Its an established heritage that celebrates the birth of every prince or princess, regardless of their place in the succession.
4. Five friends and family members were chosen as Charlottes godparents

The princess was christened in Church of St. Mary Magdalene on the Sandringham Estate for on July 5, 2015. The christening was conducted by Archbishop of Canterbury Justin Welby, the spiritual head of the Anglican Church, who also managed the christening of George. William's office said the Duke and Duchess chose five friends and family members to be Charlotte's godparents.

The name Charlotte Elizabeth Diana is a nod to her late grandmother, Diana, and her great-grandmother Elizabeth. Dianas brother Earl Spencer said the names were perfect.
