Brilio.net/en - Indonesia is a country full of differentcultures, languages and traditions. Different place, different customs, and they survive to this day.

One of the most famous customs is in Sulawesi, where every year the dead are dug up, washed and given fresh clothes and cigarettes.

With the advent of smartphones, people in Pangala, North Toraja,have snapped selfies with their dead friends and relatives during the old ceremony,which is calledMa'nene, or The Ceremony of Cleaning Corpses. You can read a little more about the festival here.

The bodies are taken out of tombs dug into cliffs and high rocks and treated with great reverence.
